Yesterday was Day #5 of the LEGO Advent Calendar but unfortunately I had a super long work day (left the house before 7:30 AM and did not return until after midnight). As such, I had no chance to open up my day 5 cubby until today.
As I had surmised a few days ago, we were due for another minifigure so that the poor little boy wasn't all alone in the LEGO City! This particular figure is a female complete with overalls, a plaid shirt, and a croissant.
Moving on to today's build (Day #6), we find another plastic bag this time holding 18 different pieces!
The build is a nice little fruit and veggie stand complete with cherries, a carrot, a banana, and an apple. Today's stand also marks the largest single build of the Advent Calendar so far!
The fruit stand comes with an extra cherry (yay!) and an extra white cheese slope - the second such extra white piece in the Advent Calendar.
After six days, the LEGO City scene is coming together nicely - Day #5's woman is almost definitely the one who is running the fruit stand - and the pie stand from a previous day! I also have to admit that the cardboard "play mat" adds a lot of character to the Advent scene! We are now up to two minifigures, plus two stands, a snowman, and a mailbox (with frog). Not bad for only six days! 25% of the way through the Advent Calendar - I hope you continue to join me as we work through the latter 75% of the holiday season!
