2025 LEGO City Advent Calendar #60475 - REVIEW: Days 01 and 02

Welcome to December (a day late)!  Once again, I am pleased to report that I've bought this year's 2025 LEGO City Advent Calendar.  My son loves to build the daily gifts, and it gives Dad something to blog about.  We all win in this situation (plus you get something to read here on the blog)!

Of course, since today is December 2, that means I'm already a day late, but that's alright.  Here are the first two days' worth of builds, plus I plan to rate each build out of 5, much like I did last year.

Day 1:

The first day of the Advent Calendar brought us our first minifigure:  an adorable kid dressed up as a polar bear.

This particular minifigure has two faces (always appreciated), plus a cute printed fuzzy tail on the backside of his costume.  I also love the printed snowflake scarf (and even the popsical goes with the cold vibe of this particular figure).

As I said at the top of the post, I'm going to score each day's build out of 5 points.  For my money, it's hard to beat a festive holiday minifigure design - this is an easy 5/5.

Running Total Score:  5/5

Day 2:

As I mentioned, I'm a day behind already!  My son and I had to open both Day 1 and Day 2 today, so you get twice the LEGO goodies in this post.

Day 2 brought us a bulldozer toy, presumably for the kid from Day 1 to play with as he waits for the big day.

I always enjoy seeing what toys the LEGO designers can build using a limited number of pieces.  I think this particular build is instantly recognizable, and my son seemed to like it as well.  It's hard to give this anything other than another 5/5!

Running Total Score:  10/10

A solid start to this year's LEGO City Advent Calendar for sure!  For the past two years, I've kept a running score total - here's what this year's calendar needs to beat:

2024 LEGO City Calendar score:  92/120
2023 LEGO City Calendar score:  90.5/120

The 2025 calendar thus far!
