It's December 18th, which means it is time to open door #18 on our LEGO City Advent Calendar!
Day 18:
Today's build is a LEGO truck, that is, the build is supposed to be a mini LEGO-brand tractor-trailer! The use of the yellow and the small square of red works great at this scale, very simple, but very clever. The only thing that would have made this better is another pair of wheels for the truck, but at this scale I'm not sure how you could even pull that off.
At this point, our Advent Calendar has provided us with a whole fleet of transportation options. At the rate we are going, I would expect at least one more vehicle (maybe a helicopter?) before all is said and done. As for today's build, I'm giving it a 3/5. It's good, but I think it's one of the weaker vehicle builds thus far.

Started off strong with these mini vehicle builds... but they've kinda cooled off. This semi doesn't seem to fit the scale of the other four vehicles, but I guess it would be way too big (for an advent calendar) if they designed it to scale.
ReplyDeleteIn looking at it again, I almost wonder if it is supposed to be one of those large box delivery trucks (think UPS/FedEx style). If it is, then it's probably a stud too long!
