REVIEW: Lumibricks - Castle Banquet Hall - #L9071

Today, I'm back with another brick review - this time it's the massive 3,209-piece King's Castle Treasury set from Lumibricks!  Read on for my full review!

Note:  If you decide to give Lumibricks a try, please consider using my affiliate link.  This particular set was purchased by me and is not sponsored in any way.

Today's featured set is the Castle Banquet Hall by Lumibricks.  The set contains a bit over 3200 pieces, and I bought it from Lumibrick's webpage for under $120 USD.

Lumibricks included a nice selection of male and female minifigures to go with the Banquet Hall.  There are enough figures to feel like there's a small wedding happening (which is the "story" that Lumibricks included in the manual).

I love building large sets, but only when they aren't full of repetition.  On the front, the Castle Banquet Hall is a smashing success.  Despite its large size, there were almost no steps where you had to assemble more than two of a single subassembly (the lone exception being the "tiling" of the roof, but even that wasn't bad).  Even better, there were a lot of clever building techniques - I mean, just look at the brick geometry in the above image!  You've got bricks going every which way, and yet it all fits together like a glove!

As I said above, I got this set for under $120 USD directly from Lumibricks, but even at the suggested retail price of $169.99 I'd say this is a good deal (especially when compared to the "major brick brand").  Lots of printed parts add to the overall look, and the lights put it over the top!

If there's one weakness to this set, it's that it's not loaded with a lot of play features.  Don't get me wrong, my son loved looking at it and checking it all out, but he almost immediately wanted me to combine it with the King's Castle Treasury set so that he could simply have a "bigger castle" for the invading army to try and capture.

Look at the gorgeous sets all lit up!  Lumibricks has several more medieval sets in their line-up, and with my love of the first two that I've built, I'm very tempted to buy another one soon!  Of course, if you'd like to buy one, I'd appreciate it if you tried out my referral link!

In the end, this was a great build (and I should mention that I had no issues with the wiring, nor did I have any trouble with any of the building instructions).  I did have one loose piece in my box that somehow didn't get packaged up in its plastic bag, but I wasn't missing any pieces, so all ended up fine by the time I was done building the set!  Lumibricks has been knocking it out of the park thus far, and I'm happy to be along for the ride!
