My love of building bricks has certainly shifted from 100% LEGO stuff to a vast majority of my recent purchases being Lumibricks/Funwhole sets. As an adult collector, I love the printed pieces and lights that Lumibricks is known for (and my son also loves the lighted sets)! Today, I'm here to review a small set from the Street Fusion line: the Chili Dog Trailer.

The Chili Dog Trailer contains a bit over 500 pieces, which are used to build a nicely sized food trailer, a small seating area, and a bit of a street corner complete with a working street light and a printed sign for Sunset Industrial Park.
The two included minifigures are both perfectly adequate. I'm glad two figures were included (after all, what good is a food cart without both a worker and a customer)? Both minifigures have nice printing, though the plain gray cap could be a bit more interesting for our customer.
Honestly, this set felt like a more substantial build than the mere 500-piece count would otherwise suggest. The trailer is nice and bulky and packed full of lots of nice details. I particularly love the final lighting effect; the light inside the trailer is super bright, which illuminates all of the lovely details nicely.
With a price point of under $35 USD, this set is a no-brainer for purchase for anyone looking to add to their brick cities. Compare this set to what you'll find in a similarly priced LEGO brand set, and you'll quickly realize what affordable quality Lumibricks is bringing to collectors these days!
I wouldn't call the Chili Dog Trailer a true play set; however, there is enough here to jump-start anyone's imagination! The extra included bits (table, tires, etc.) go a long way to making this a set that kids could have some fun with. The set is rated for ages 16+, but a careful child could definitely have fun with this one!
I love pretty much everything about this set, and at the current price point, it's truly a steal (at least for building brick standards)! The Chili Dog Trailer gets my full recommendation!
The Chili Dog Trailer looks great during the day, but it really shines (literally) at night. One of my favorite little details is the four transparent bricks underneath the main window. When the lights are on, the bricks look like they are proper carnival lights! Now I kind of wish that Lumibricks would produce a few more food carts, perhaps a Taco Cart could be next?!
