My son and I have started working on our new Brick City in the man cave. We've decided to have a fully lighted section of the city, which will make heavy use of Lumibrick sets (and some custom buildings that I've created)! With this goal in mind, I'm now trying to build more of my backlog of sets that might fit into our Brick City (and yes, our city needs a better name)!

For more Lumibricks content (plus board games), check out my Instagram account. The Skate Shop is my first proper building in the Street Fusion line of sets. As you'll see from my review, the set immediately won me over, and now I'm hooked on the Street Fusion line! It's worth noting that I have already reviewed a couple of smaller sets in the series: the Chili Dog Trailer and the Graffiti Bus Stop.
I love the three included figures, though I do wish there were a female figure as well. I love all three torso prints; they all look great for the theme of the set!
Lots of fun mini builds, plus a final product that looks great from most angles. I greatly enjoyed my build experience, so much so that I immediately made plans to build my next Street Fusion set (which I'll hopefully have a review for in the not-so-distant future)!
I think the Skate Shop is a great set for someone who is interested in trying out Lumibricks for the first time. The set is a great representative of what makes Lumibricks better than the larger brands out there. You get a fully stocked store on the first floor with lots of prints, plus an apartment above and, of course, all of the lights! The best part is that you get all of that for just under $100 suggested retail price (use my affiliate link to save 10% on your purchase)!
My son loved playing with this set once it was built. The best part is that the set holds up to play; for the most part, it's not overly fragile or wobbly. There's plenty of fun storytelling elements, including multiple animals and several wheeled options (skateboards and a bike).
As you can probably tell, I love this set. And that's saying something, since I've never skateboarded in my life (so the set isn't getting any initial help from the subject matter)!
Here are a few more shots of the set:
As always, Lumibricks set shine (literally) best at night! I love how the set includes a bluish-purple light for underneath the outside staircase; it adds so much character to the set!

Inside to out. Front to back. This is a great looking building. I love how they light up the graffiti wall. Still can't get used to their minifigs though. Lego has brainwashed me.
